ChevronChevron Corporation is an American multinational energy corporation and is one of the successor companies of Standard Oil. Caltex was created in 1936 as a joint venture between Standard Oil Co. of California and the Texas Co., with each having equal ownership. The brand has operated in Asia, Africa and the Middle East as a committed energy provider ever since. The Caltex brand is now managed from Singapore where all brand and marketing strategies and initiatives are developed and introduced to its operating regions.
There are currently 27 Caltex stations in Singapore.

SPC is involved in the exploration and production of petroleum, refining, trading and petroleum product distribution. The company was founded in 1969 as the Singapore Petroleum & Chemical Co. Pte Ltd and later changed its name to the Singapore Petroleum Company Ltd. The company is also part owner of Singapore Refining Company Pte Ltd which was founded in 1979.
